Please note that there should be at least 2 months - preferably 6 months - between the booking request and the departure date. The longer this period, the better the chances that we can secure our preferred hotels, flights, and activities.
Fill out our booking form under the option you choose: desired departure date or multiple dates, number of participants (riders/non-riders). Also indicate how many people want to share a room or prefer a single room. Do not hesitate to contact us by telephone if you have the slightest doubt.
After your booking request, we will send you a Registration Form with a questionnaire along with the General and Special Conditions. Fill out this questionnaire truthfully, confirm your agreement with the Special and General Conditions, sign the document, and send it back.
The signed questionnaire constitutes a mutual commitment. As we upgrade existing horse treks our treks are exclusive to our travelers, and depending on the destination, we need a minimum of 4 to 7 riders to book a trek. If necessary, we will then come back to you with a proposal for another date.
Once we have enough riders and a date available for the treks, we proceed quickly:
We need to pay for hotels, local flights/transportation, tickets, and trails at booking. Therefore, we are compelled to request a deposit of 70% of the total amount at the time of your booking.
The balance of 30% is due 8 weeks before departure.
The Horse Traveller BV is a member of the Flemish Association of Travel Agencies (VVR) which assists in regulating our activities as a travel company.
In Belgium, anyone wishing to organize or resell travel must comply with the federal "Law concerning the sale of package travel, linked travel arrangements, and travel services," or in short the "Package Travel Law."
This means that anyone who regularly offers travel agreements must possess the legally required insolvency insurance and the associated travel company liability insurance.
The VVR collaborates with MS Amlin Insurance SE (www.amlin.com) and The Horse Traveller BV has subscribed to the offered insurances:
The Insolvency Insurance provides a guarantee to you as a client (the traveler) in case of a possible bankruptcy.
The Travel Company Liability Insurance intervenes in professional errors where the client incurs additional costs.
Ensure to have a travel and cancellation insurance that covers the destination country, including medical expenses in case of an accident during horse riding. We can assist you with this.
We only accept experienced riders and require written confirmation of sufficient riding experience.
Trekking is strenuous, so report any health issues in advance.
Our guides ensure maximum safety and it is essential to follow their instructions.
